Allison Cagley, Executive Director – Friends of Sacramento Arts
Allison Cagley is the founding executive director of Friends of Sacramento Arts, a nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring equitable access to comprehensive arts education in K-12 public schools through advocacy, education and strategic partnerships. Allison is an Arts Now Ambassador and regional liaison for Create CA and is a member of the statewide Prop 28 Advisory Council.
April Rennie, Principal – Sheridan Elementary School
April Rennie is starting her 19th year in education. She spent a number of years teaching elementary students and is now the principal at Sheridan Elementary School. She loves working with her staff and collaborating with organizations to provide educational and enrichment opportunities for her students and families.
MaryTess Mayall, Executive Director – Blue Line Arts
MaryTess Mayall was born and raised in Roseville, California. Her passion for the arts grew during her formative years in the south of France. After majoring in Art and minoring in French at Fresno State, she became a dedicated supporter of local arts. MaryTess serves as an Arts Now Leader through Create CA, Vice President for the Downtown Roseville Merchants, and board member for the Sacramento Alliance for Regional Arts and the Downtown Roseville Partnership. Since joining Blue Line Arts in 2016, she has championed accessible art education for K-12 students and professional development for artists.
Adelaide Kuehn, Program Director – Create CA
Adelaide Kuehn is Program Director at Create CA, a statewide organization that advocates for arts education in California K-12 public schools. She oversees all local advocacy efforts at the organization, including a statewide network of grassroots coalitions, a leadership training program for 9-12th graders and resource development for strategic arts education planning. Adelaide began her work in the field of arts education as a gallery educator for school age audiences at the Hammer Museum. She completed her PhD in French and Francophone Studies at UCLA.
Holly Cuthbertson – Parent Advocate
Holly studied art at CSU Chico, obtaining a BFA in studio art which has led to her becoming actively involved in initiatives to improve school infrastructure, increase exposure to arts and science, promote inclusion within school curricula, and increase access to resources and books in teacher classrooms and libraries.
