Jonathan is an independent financial advisor focused on financial planning and investment management for individuals and institutions. Prior to founding his own firm, he served with Genovese Burford & Brothers, an independent wealth management firm. Prior to GBB, Jonathan served as an investment analyst and manager for Capital Group, parent of the American Funds, and as an investment analyst and portfolio manager with Franklin Templeton.
Jonathan earned a B.A. in Political Economy of Industrial Societies and Spanish from the University of California Berkeley, and an M.B.A. in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) and Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designations.
Jonathan serves the American River Parkway Foundation and is a member of the Cal Club of Sacramento.
As a public school student, Jonathan developed a deep appreciation for the power and value of visual and performing arts opportunities. Public education, literacy, and youth arts education are areas in which Jonathan has a strong interest and focuses his volunteer time.
Jonathan enjoys getting his kids outdoors as much as possible, live musical performances (just about any genre), spending time at the Crocker Art Museum.
